3 Ways to Impress Homebuyers

Looking to sell your home in the next few weeks or months? Here are three ways to impress homebuyers and sell your home for the most in the least amount of time.

Landscaping and Curb Appeal

We all know the expression. It's the one that talks about the importance of first impressions. The same goes not only for us as people but also for our homes.

A prospective buyer is likely only to view your home one time. Unless they fall in love with your home and come back with the family for a second tour! To ensure that happens, you want to put your best foot forward the first time with a solid first impression.

Design the Space

Who doesn't love a tidy and clean home? Well, now is the time to ensure you have everything buttoned up. Those dents in the wall, scratches on the floor, or that carpet you meant to replace but never got around to doing it? Now is time.

These minor updates are critical before the home is staged, photographed, and available for home tours. But, it doesn't stop there.

How you live in your home may be different from how others see themselves in it. This means rearranging the furniture or changing the art on the walls is a good idea.

Ensure the Big Three Are In Place

Another common expression is "the market determines the price." This is not true. Because if this was true, you could simply put a sign on the front lawn, and whatever the first person offered you would represent the actual value of your home. In reality, the market for your home is much broader than whoever sees the sign on your front lawn. Therefore, there are at least three factors at play in determining the value of your home.

  1. The Real Estate Professional

  2. The Marketing and Promotion

  3. The Right Pricing of the Home

If you'd like to learn more about those three factors and the impact on the price you get for your home, give me a call. I'm happy to walk you through the details.
